After dinner, everyone met in the main Lodge room, where the awards ceremony, presided over by WM Steve Sampson and SW Josue Cuevas, was conducted.  Parents, children and teachers alike listened attentively from the sidelines as the essays were read and the awards presented.

The Lodge Brothers look forward to hosting this event again next year.

Scottsdale Lodge 43’s annual essay contest awards dinner and ceremony was a rousing success.  The dining room was filled to capacity, with the schoolchildren, their parents, and their teachers bringing life to the Lodge.

This annual event, hosted by the Lodge for many years, gives the students from surrounding elementary schools a chance to try out not only their writing skills, but also their knowledge of American History.
